Braw Cinema Club #75 presents

Videodrome (1983)

Braw Cinema Club is back with the transgressive body shocker from the pervy maestro himself, David Cronenberg. Body and form coalesce with the gutter end of televisual media in this allegorical belter which seems as poignant now as it did back in 1983 – only it’s Betamax tapes instead of streaming pjorn and gore.

Videodrome rules, and is still as unsettling as ever, so LONG LIVE THE NEW FLESH, etc etc.

Justin Robertson with Davie Miller - The Trial of Jonah - Reading and Q & A

Justin Robertson in conversation with Davie Miller about his new novel, plus DJ sets from Mild Peril and Justin Robertson.

Renowned DJ, artist, and cultural provocateur Justin Robertson ventures back into the world of fiction with his second novel, The Trial of Jonah. With a narrative that traverses Roman Britain, the arcades of Slough, and the birth of Acid House, The Trial of Jonah is as much a love letter to counterculture as it is a philosophical inquiry into the nature of art. Robertson’s distinctive voice—a blend of punk ethos, erudition, and irreverent humour—shines through on every page.
