Cathy Bullock + Olivia Muller
You Tell Me
Performances on opening night 6.30pm
A dialogue between two Intermedia students from Edinburgh College of Art who work in photography, printmaking, and performance.
Cathy Bullock explores the side of grief we don't like to talk about. The side where you push your loved ones away, you take up shitty coping mechanisms, you've become self destructive, or intent upon collateral damage. And then, at that point, what makes a monster a monster? Where is the line that we draw? Her art dances along this line, exploring the monstrosity of grief through the medium of performance art. Across different performances, she ties together a narrative of shared grief and what it does to us.
Olivia Muller simplifies architectural forms into graphic designs, raising viewer’s awareness of space and inviting them to consider architectural objects beyond their utilitarian function. The underlying themes in her work are the exploration of space, encompassing both visual and sensory dimensions. By inviting viewers to engage with their physical and visual surroundings, her work aims to cultivate a sense of presence and encourage active contemplation.
Bullock and Muller’s work is presented both individually and unified in this exhibition, in order to explore the creation of narrative and free-association within exhibitions.

Peter Case Sid Griffin
A very special evening with two American song writing legends.
Peter Case is a three time Grammy nominated singer-songwriter from the USA who has a most impressive resume. He was the founder of the Nerves, the very first American indie band to put together a nationwide tour and one of the very first to release their own indie EP. He then was the founder and leader of the legendary Plimsouls, an incredibly influential L.A. rock and roll band which drew praise from everyone from Elvis Costello to Tom Petty to critics nationwide.
For the past thirty-some years Peter Case has been a solo troubadour in the great tradition of Dylan, Guthrie, and Pete Seeger. Early on he was produced by T-Bone Burnett and he’s played with and been championed by Roger McGuinn, Van Dyke Parks, Mike Campbell of Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers and many more. His latest album is The Midnight Broadcast and it just might be his very best.
Sid Griffin is best known by his leadership of the Long Ryders, the founding fathers of alt-country and Americana. He is also the proud artist behind four well-received solo albums, was the leader of the wonderful ‘alt-bluegrass’ UK band, The Coal Porters, he was the Resident Musicologist on BBC 6 Music’s Radcliffe & Maconie radio show for over a decade and has written four books.
Sid’s most recent book, Million Dollar Bash: Bob Dylan, The Band, and the Basement Tapes, has been reissued twice and Sid did the liner notes for that collection of legendary Dylan tracks
Sid sez "In April and May the great Peter Case and I tour once again and I cannot wait."
"Tickets are already on sale at most venues and are selling well so please get yours now. I am not joking here, they really are."
"The deal is I open up the evening, Peter of course headlines, then we usually do two to four songs together to end the evening. I cannot wait. I promise, I solemnly promise a crackin’ evening to you all."

Reggae Got Soul
Fundraiser in support of Fresh Start
Sadly, two bright lights have gone out of my life and two beloved souls have departed this Earth since last Reggae Got Soul fundraiser took place. But the world keeps turning and we must continue and move on with our lives, only never as before.
So, for me it‘s hard to believe that there are now only 5 days until we return to Leith Depot, this time to raise funds for FRESH START who do such invaluable work in the west of the city.
Please come out and support us so that we can fill the place once more, help spread the love a little further and raise the maximum amount possible for those in our communities who are in the greatest of need
We’ll be playing the customary 60/40 mix of Reggae and Soul with Ras Ista Lion making his unique contribution on the mic.

I Am Weekender + Q&A
I Am Weekender is Chloé Raunet’s insightful documentary about the making, impact and legacy of the 1992 WIZ directed short Weekender.
Ostensibly a video for Flowered Up’s single of the same name, WIZ’s film was initially banned on release, but this original acid house cris de coeur has become a cult classic selected by the BFI as one of the most innovative music films ever made.
A pioneering meditation of the British rave scene - now in a brand new 2K restoration - WIZ’s original film is re-evaluated via Raunet’s fascinating and poignant documentary.
I Am Weekender runs at 54 minutes and will be followed by a screening of the original 19 minute Weekender film.
With the film featuring contributions from Irvine Welsh, Jeremy Deller, Lynne Ramsay, Bobby Gillespie, Clive Langer, Mark Moore, Róisín Murphy, Annie Nightingale, Shaun Ryder, David Holmes, Roy Marsh and more, Sunday’s screening will feature a Q&A with Chloe Raunet, WIZ and Flowered Up’s Tim Dorney.

Renegade Communications presents…
A Certain Ratio - It All Comes Down to This plus Ellen Beth Abdi
A CERTAIN RATIO have announced details of a new album, produced by Dan
Carey, and an extensive UK tour for spring 2024.
'It All Comes Down To This', their thirteenth studio album, will be released on 19 April 2024.
The new album is the purest distillation of the essential ACR sound ever committed to tape, and the first time the band has recorded as just the core trio of principle band members – multi-instrumentalists Jez Kerr, Martin Moscrop and Donald Johnson.
The core trio will be joined on bass by Viv Griffin for the live shows, in which the band intend to play the album in its glorious entirety.
Many jewels from the past will also adorn the set lists, reworked and remodelled, with the band proud of ACR’s past rather than dependent upon It.
As a snapshot of where A Certain Ratio stand in 2024, It All Comes Down to This is a towering testament to their staying power.
For a band whose path has intersected with the lives of Joy Division, The Fall, Talking Heads, Madonna and Grace Jones, ACR are now be immersed in their most creative and prolific period since the early 1980s.
Then again, when you have always been preoccupied with laying the groundwork for your next steps, you’re unlikely ever to derive much satisfaction from standing still.
